Saturday, June 8th. Reception @ 6pm. Concert @ 7pm

Ashley E. Norton is Ramona’s Co-Citizen of the Year, co-founder of the Ramona Music Alliance, concert producer of Songbirds of Ramona Ranch and lead singer of Lady Psychiatrist’s Booth. She has teamed up with music producer and lead guitar player for Garth Brooks/Trisha Yearwood to record a full length album and Johnny is coming from Nashville to perform it live with her live at our Main Ramona Town Hall! Experience this beautiful concert under the magical 1894 building still under restoration. With special decorations, lighting and seating made specifically for this evening, we invite you to share the magic and envision what could be once full restored. Ashley is honored to be the first person to perform here in 40 years.

$30 General Admission ($25 with promo code EVERYTHINGRAMONA) $55 VIP ($50 with promo code EVERYTHINGRAMONA includes closer seating and a signed CD)

A portion of proceeds will go towards the restoration of Ramona’s town hall.

Ramona Radio will also be in attendance during a reception in the East and West wings, along with snacks, local beer from Smoking Cannon Brewery and wine from Ramona Ranch Winery
and Pamo Valley Winery for purchase, plus pre-show music for entertainment. Food trucks will be nearby for food purchase prior to the show and during the reception. Ashley was moved by the Town Hall during the Our Ramona Compilation Album project. So much so that she wrote a song with Tim Connelly and Troy Powers called “Whiskey In The Walls,” which was inspired by Woody Kirkman and a story he told. The folklore goes that in 1894 when the Barnett’s gifted the building to the town, they had required it to be a dry hall. The Mason’s in response built a jug of whiskey into the Adobe walls so there would always be alcohol there. This is unproven but the story made a great song that will be performed this
evening, even though it’s not on the album. There will be a single release to come. But when Ashley was on a tour of the building and thinking about the whiskey in the walls, she immediately thought, “I should have my CD release party here, no matter if it’s finished or not.” She brought the idea to the board meeting and through some brainstorming, we are excited to officially announce this show is underway. We anticipate it to sell out, so don’t wait to purchase tickets!

“Call of the Void” is a 12 song solo album by Ashley E. Norton, recorded in Nashville by producer Johnny Garcia. It’s a true Americana. Ashley has pulled influences from County, Rock, Folk and Blues. She wrote or co-wrote all of the songs but one, which is a beautiful Led Zeppelin cover of “Going To California.” Johnny Garcia plays all instruments except for some of the acoustic guitar by Ashley and cello and violin from Jimmy Mattingly, who also plays fiddle for Garth Brooks. Ashley sings all of the lead and backup vocals in a stunning mix with something for everyone.
